Job Title:  System Automation Lead

Reports To:   Vice President, Services

FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt

Location: 100% in MN office

Job Overview: Under the direction of the Vice President or Services, the System Automation Lead is an integral part of the Professional Services Team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient preparation of computer systems for our clients. Responsibilities will involve configuring, testing, and deploying hardware and software to meet client needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues to maintain optimal system performance. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Essential Functions

  • Work with our clients in a Professional Services capacity to build automated processes to configure workstations and user accounts.
  • Build repeatable build/configure processes and QA completed product to ensure accuracy and a professional experience to clients.
  • Become an expert on new tools, techniques, and processes to continue to improve efficiency and the client experience.
  • Analyze performance of Prep team activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems. 

Operational Management

  • Manage the automated build process and update as client needs change.
  • Document each clients process to ensure it is up to date.
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Testing on completed builds to ensure the accuracy of the completed setup process.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of Preps team staff training procedures and policies.  
  • Manage the computer/equipment inventory for clients and internal inventory.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving process.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Automation building, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Operational knowledge of Immybot, Intune, Powershell, Connectwise Manage, and Automate are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Familiarity with standard networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certifications in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Resourceful – the ability to figure things out.
  • High attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Hearing:  Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. 
  • Speaking:  Must be able to communicate clearly with clients in person and over the telephone. 
  • Vision:  Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed 
  • sources and computer screens.   
  • Other:  Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted. Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
